 Dangerzone

Erika invited Yasuko and I out to Yokota Air Force base in Fussa this weekend for its annual Friendship Festival. We at hot dogs, hamburgers, and funnel cakes, drank a few Buds, listened to a pretty damn good G&R cover band, and just cruised around the airstrip checking out the F-16s, F-15′s, A-10s, C-130s, Blackhawks, and a whole bunch of others. It was a trip to say the least. I must have made a model of every single one of those planes when I was a kid but I had never seen them in real life (we even got to get inside a few.) For some reason it never dawned on me, despite it being an Airforce base, that there would be planes there…haha… I almost dropped my hotdog is disbelief when I caught the first glance of them. Anyway, it was a really cool vibe and everybody seemed to be really enjoying ourselves. Erika and Phil were great hosts. We really enjoyed. Thanks so much.
