Hello Brian,
I really enjoyed reading this workflow entry...not all that different from mine, but I haven't been shooting that much slide lately...mostly color print and black and white. I've been letting the black and white pile up a bit; might do some tomorrow. Lately, I've been using Edwal FG7, which might be THE developer for film...it let me push Agfa APX 400 to 3200 on a couple of my Tokyo rolls...magic! I am looking forward to doing more photography in Tokyo next month.
If you're up for an evening of shooting in Shinjuku and environs, let me know. If your lovely wife and/or the Brothers O'Connell/or other flickr volk want to come along, that's cool...I'll also spring for a dinner somewhere. I use either a Yashinon 50 1.7 or an aus Jena Pancolor 50 2.0 for loupes...and yes, I've had both wind up near my poor head by the light box at something or other AM...
Be well, happy, and continue to do your wonderful photography.

Best wishes,
Jim
